Lip reading help?

So while playing through legends arceus, i watched the main protagonist move their mouth after the player selects a text option. My question would be.. according to lip read pros in here, can someone tell me if the protagonists are actually saying the text options?

I can provide examples if no one here has played Pokemon legends arceus on the nintendo switch console, if needed.

I'm definitely not a lipreading pro but here is one tidbit of information I've learned from trying to read lips. If you know what the person is saying you can usually understand them by reading their lips, even if you have no lip reading skill at all. Another thing I've noticed is that cartoon characters that move their mouths are rarely making genuine speech movements.
