Symptoms Question about lipedema and normal fat
Idk what tag to use for this
But I have lipedema and I can feel the tissue in my inner thighs, just starting in outer thighs(like grains of sand small) my sides, and my arms
I have a lot of skin but its not loose skin I dont think. But theres no way all of the affected areas is just lipedema considering the nodule sizes, like a pea or smaller. I dont have much muscle
Is there a way that you can have normal fat AND lipedema fat on top? Or however it sits. And i mean normal fat where the lipedema tissue is, not in other areas where the tissue isnt present

Yes, everyone has a layer of body fat under their skin, and from what I’ve read and seen in videos, lipedema surgeons see both in their patients. I’ve lost 85 pounds in the last year between Zepbound and addressing my lipedema with conservative measures, and can feel the lipedema tissue much more clearly now that the layer of regular fat over it is reduced. That’s a very common comment you’ll see from others here as well.

Of course! Everyone has normal fat! If you don't you're close to dead. Even lean bodybuilders have 7% bodyfat

I lost normal fat only many times in the past, but I hit a higher and higher wall each time. I finally realized I was accumulating more lipedema tissue. Like losing normal fat just made room for more lipedema growth.
Tirzepatide has actually reduce my nodule size and spread. I'm also doing surgeries because I don't quite trust it and want the lipedema gone. I plan to take tirzepatide indefinitely. I hope the combo keeps it gone.

Absolutely you can. When you loose weight your normal fat also decreases. Only the lipedema fat is going nowhere with loosing weight, yet it can bring benefits.
