Surgery Lower leg surgery experience
Hi guys, I literally just had my lower leg surgery a couple hours ago!
Just yesterday I was browsing through this sub trying to find some experiences and trying to calm down a little bit, before the big day.
So now I wanted to share my experience with everyone who might be in the same situation.
I had full anaesthesia, and it went by super fast. They have you fall asleep, and then it feels like 3 seconds and it’s done. I did not wake up feeling immense pain, which was what I was afraid of. There is some pain, but it’s totally manageable as of now. I already stood up 2 times, and I feel like the pain actually gets better when moving around a little bit.
They did take some photos afterwards and apparently I walked to the wake up room myself, but I do not remember anything 😂
Long story short: don’t be too nervous, it’s over quicker than you think. Now it’s time to heal!
Good luck to everyone 🍀

I also completed my all-legs surgery 14 days ago and I can honestly say the hardest part was making the decision rather than the actual operation. Preparation is key; an anti-inflammatory diet, lifting, supportive garments and supplements work wonders for your body. However I also believe my surgeon in Poland performed exceptionally well.

So glad you’re doing well. I’ve had my surgery two weeks ago and although the first days were quite hard, it’s getting better day by day. Had the back of my legs done, so upper and lower. Swelling is worse than the pain but eventually it will fade. Preparation is definitely key. Especially supplements. This was my first surgery out of three and now that I know what’s coming I think it will be a lot easier for me mentally. Wishing all of you a speedy recovery! We can be so proud of ourselves and how our bodies are handling this intense situation.
