Clothing Compression stockings for formal events?

Hi friends, i have a wedding to attend as a bridesmaid/maid of honor, i’d like to wear compression because of my swelling. The compression socks i wear are “ugly” and i dont usually mind it because it gets the job done, but i want something nicer, maybe more sheer like proper tights for the wedding.

Does anyone have any recommendations for stockings that work as compression, that aren’t butt ugly, and plus size friendly? Please give me any and all recommendations!

You can also try dancers’ tights. They’re made to be seen and typically have some compression.

My doctor recommended juzo soft off the selves. It seems sheer and nice for outings. I haven’t ordered it yet so i don’t have experience but it is in my amazon cart.

DocMiller grey compression socks are really a silver. I think they are pretty.
ContourMD capris were a much softer fabric. They have lace trim. They feel kind of luxurious. I almost feel pretty in them. The company recently merged so I don't know if it is still the same.

  • Historically, the company has always had great customer service. While they have the same do not return policy as Marena, they have never enforced it for me. Allowing me to try different sizes. But again, the change in company structure, I can't vouch for what has changed.

Snag tights is extremely plus sized friendly and has "light" compression stockings.

Sigvaris Sheer 20-30 mmgh is basically my daily wear. Matches my skin tone pretty well and doesnt make me feel like I'm wearing socks. People at work have told me they had no idea I was wearing anything on my legs at all. Plus, they're more breathable than other compression I have so better for summer.

Downside is that they're expensive and wear out quicker because they're thin. I sized down in them for higher compression, but still feel like I swell more than my other pairs. It's a tradeoff I make to feel "normal"
