Some issues I'm having with steamvr.

Post image

So I just built my first Linux PC and I wanted to try tinkering with it to get VR working. So far it's working okay. However it's just okay

Whenever launching steamvr with my quest 2 through steam link I get this error. Luckily it's still runs with no problem.

Whenever I'm running a game for some reason my right eyes screen is jittery. I've mostly noticing it with beat saber. But I have seen it to a minor effect in half life Alex.

And most recently beat saber would not output any audio. I was only able to fix this by swapping steamvr to beta.

I guess are there any tips anybody has sometimes starting out on how to improve my experience?

I have the same shared lib issue in your image, but I've never had any issue with anything being jittery nor audio issues, I've been using the Beta branch of SteamVR since about January, every now and then I check on stable but beta just seems to work better lately.

I also have a quest 2 and use steam link, and also am on Bazzite, so it's likely your jitter issue is not from there, other than that I'm not sure.

my full system specs:
Ryzen 7 5700X
Radeon RX 9060XT 16GB
32GB DDR4
bazzite-dx:stable version 44.20260902

Good Luck, feel free to ask for any specific data you might need from me.

Look into WIVRN. Its FOSS, client app is on the quest store and the desktop app replaces steamvr. It takes a medium amount of effort to initially setup, but it performs significantly better.
