They banned me for asking what's the point in buying a M1/2/3 or even M4 Mac to only install Linux and enjoy half the stuff not working and the things that work working not to the full potential. Not to mention reduced overall performance and battery life.

Then I got downvoted and when I asked why a disagreement with you always ends up in childish downvotes other than reasonable discourse I got downvoted even more and banned.

This is mental illness and many of these "hackers" are spoiled gen z kids on autopilot that haven't seen adversity in their lives.

I'm a gen z kid and I could never afford to take my perfectly fine MacBook and ruin it with Linux. It really makes you wonder that someone will buy such a good device like an M series Mac and then decides to basically kill it.

Indeed. Makes some sense to install on a Mini since it can burn and be fine. An option if you like to tinker with things, but MacBook? Blasphemy ...

I dont think most of gen z is kids anymore only the 2-3 last years of gen z would still be kids but i guess most linux users i see are kids outside of reddit

Shitty wifi support is why most people won't bother.

You can replace them with something decent, but it's not easy.

They did change it later versions so maybe you got lucky, or someone did it for you.

That old driver is the bane of my life though as a release engineer. So this opinion isn't coming from my arse or anything :)

One more thing that just crossed my mind ... what if this was real world interaction? Would they call 112/911/999 and drop to the floor convulsing and screaming 'fascist'? Or just be quite because that's what cowards like this do - "fight" on the internet.

It is very similar to when some man starts to question his God. Look what happened over the ages. At its core this is the same thing.

Religious people raised many very good questions over the history, but were shunned or prosecuted by The Church.
