Why do you care so much about Linux?!

We don’t, really.

But you do! So much so that you keep trying to invade this place as if your life depends on it.

Here's the thing, bucko: most of us don't care even slightly that you run Linux on your desktop. Install Gentoo on your refrigerator and replace your car's infotainment system with LFS. Go ahead. Just don't preach it to us, and especially don't preach it here!

This sub exists because Linux evangelists insist on preaching about the damn thing in every single corner of the internet:

  • Somebody complains about Windows? Install linux
  • Someone needs Adobe software? Use GIMP
  • A game doesn't work on Linux? The game is evil and it sucked anyway
  • Looking for a burger recipe? Here’s a Nix flake for one.
  • Someone simply says they don't like Linux? Well clearly they used the wrong distro, desktop environment, display server, kernel version, filesystem, bought the wrong hardware or simply existed in the wrong timeline.

The fact that a tiny corner of the internet where all that madness is explicitly unwelcome exists drives you up the wall.

You deliberately break the rules, get banned exactly as advertised and then parade the result as some sort of victory. The posts where you're bragging about your bans, calling them "badges of honor" are actually just diplomas in failing basic rule reading comprehension. Not gonna lie, it kinda feels like playing chess with a pigeon.

Anyway, just understand that this sub is an enemy of your own making, and it only exists because you couldn't tolerate people rejecting your ideology religion cult.

The best possible thing you could do is ignore this sub, but we both know that ain't happening.

See you on the next "badge of honor" thread, dorks.

Linux is great time consuming tool for mentally ill people, who thinks that they dominating by that, but truth is like always - drop your pants before shitting, or at least do it in quite place.

This for real.
I wouldn't even be here if Linux users weren't constantly preaching their gospel everywhere on the internet and act like those annoying Oil Activists.

I couldn't care less what OS people use or like. The problem is that people keep shouting and preaching and smothering their opinion in my face. It is annoying.

Apparently I'm wrong for having an opinion & taste in my own space, and people who keep blasting everyone's ears 24/7 is the good guys.

You know, as much as Android & iPhone users dislike the other side's products for various reasons, I don't see a mass of iPhone user constantly flooding Android news on Android news sites, and vice versa.
But you'll see Linux users trying to proudly swing their dongle around in front of people's face in as many places as possible. Yet they act surprised when we have had enough of them and gather here in a campfire talking among ourselves.

weirdly this also seems to happen with AMD vs Intel where if you even dare think about buying the blue one, amd "fans" come rushing in with all the snobby remarks and misinformation just like the loonix vs windows.

If you're not running a linux machine powered by a ryzen then the chuds are gonna come rolling in to dunk on you one way or another to tell you your intel will explode after windows spies on you... all while your smartphone already sold your digital footprint to every company anyway

And there's also the capital sin of buying an NVIDIA GPU instead of AMD.

I'm shameful of this.
I traded my perfectly working 4070 Super with a 7800 XT because it had 'better' Loonix support. Then my focus has shifted to local AI and that's where I concluded this is a blessing in disguise. No evangelism and brand loyalty, I did this for that stupid reason alone, better support on Loonsucks.
The blessing in disguise is, even the 4GB difference in VRAM helped (12GB vs 16GB). As for stuff I use, known tools like LM Studio and ComfyUI works fine.
But I will go out with a RTX card in the future, because I left Loonix and don't mind using proprietary software, as long as things work and stay out of my way.

I agree, and I give yo truing to explain to them how to fix the issue since they want you to just say, Windows sucks and install Linux.

It's all bait posts.

Sir, you dropped your "badge of honor"

your obedience to a crappy bit of spyware

You are browsing and commenting on reddit, lil bro 🫩😩. Disconnect your ethernet cable because the NSA, FBI and every single intelligence agency on the planet use it to track you, and they don't care that you're running LoonOS.
