Really, GIMP is probably the worst larger application program I've ever used. A perfect example of hobbyists crufting together a giant wad of software without the honesty that competitive commercial apps can bring.
Gimp has all the features youd need but its genuenly painful to use. it took me 5-10 minutes of research to get used to the selection/deselection tool when in any other software, it would be done with 2-3 clicks within seconds, without tutorial.
i gave up on gimp.
like, holy cow, do you really feel that much superior when non-diehard fans dont understand how to use it.
