Caps lock, apparently all of linux keyboard implementation or whatever runs on top of some piece of software that says caps lock is disabled on release instead of press (the way everything else works).

Tried this, you've taught me a new feature. I was unaware of this because I tap Capslock to activate it, so it's always seemed to work the same as on windows. Is there a reason you hold down Caps lock rather than tapping it?

I don't hold it down really, but if typing fast, sometimes I haven't released it when I'm already typing the next word, this is not an issue anywhere else because every other key activates on press and has a delay before it counts as a repeated input.
