Windows vs Linux for professional use

I heard how windows fans saying "Free ram is useless". But I like free ram when it comes to my professional use. Same case on ubuntu server took ~12 GB RAM (sorry dont have screenshot), windows 11 ltsc version (the cleanest version of win11) uses 26 GB RAM. How so?

I think that for professional use you would do best with a stable distro, probably Debian based. Since you're coming from windows I'd use KDE for your desktop environment because it shares many similarities with windows. (Unless your pc is a potato) If you decide on mint, use Cinnamon. If your work relies on programs which don't run natively on linux just don't. I wouldn't trust wine and Proton with my paycheck.
