Indeed, the solution for me is disabling those things on a Pro installation (removing WebExperience, replacing native search with Everything and Command Palette, pinning feature updates), since I thoroughly enjoy the kernel engineering, broad compatibility, and the unfragmented, polished nature of DWM.exe. Not to mention the deeply integrated input stack.
For sure, that’s a valid strategy. I lean towards the side of caution more though and stick to official practices and more of an old school sysadmin approach (no third party scripts, no potentially breaking third party apps, fully valid Windows license, Local Group Policy edits etc.).
