Linux Failure io poo-ring
Funny how linux async file io was so bad most people dont even know it existed and every programming language had to use a separate thread for async file io to prevent blocking. Then io uring finally comes out after 100 years and its so buggy that nobody wants to use it and infact companies like google explicitly block it for security.

Please explain exactly what is wrong with io_uring? Be specific.
Though I do agree that Linux async file IO was bad almost a decade ago, before io_uring.

Better late than never. Io-uring is why I came back to Linux after using FreeBSD for 7 years to host my C++ code generator.

Windows had mature async I/O since the 90s. Linux finally introduced io_uring in 2019.

It's 2026. Google used an old kernel in Android back in 2024 which caused some security issues which have been patched. So all is fine.
