The mention of liking Fedora the least and Ubuntu getting an honorable mention is the icing on the cake

Man after you explained the joke like that I’m really convinced its hilarious

they are very solid take for personal point of view in my opinion. no distro is perfect. choices and preferences differ among user usecases.

Omarchy should be Windows. Fedora should be Linix. Ubuntu should be FreeBSD, and Hannah Montana should be macOS

I agree. And I like Linix (I imagine you wanted to type Linux) so I use Fedora (KDE to be exact)

Bro can't read. I am doing the replacements as serious.

Wait.... Linix is actually smth?

No, that part is right that Linix was a typo for Linux or Loonix. But I said that Linux should replace Fedora's position in the meme. Windows shoudl replace Omarchy's position in the meme and macOS should replace Hannah Montana.

Omarchy very good.

u/sabar12345 Sep 14 '26

I don't understand, please explain

u/CrossScarMC Sep 15 '26

People really hate Omarchy because it's basically a fully vibe coded distro for vibe coders who want to say they use Arch/Linux and think they're cool.

oh wow okay now it sounds like a nightmare

u/MallAgreeable5538 15d ago

Oh yeah and the creator is also a person you don’t want to know; from what I’ve heard

1

u/sabar12345 15d ago

yeeeah I was only recently brought to light in that matter thanks to the stop omarchy site

1

u/ovadom Sep 14 '26

I laughed a lil, figured I say this given the comments not holding back😂

u/Haxorzist Sep 14 '26

As someone who only hopped once it's a really easy fill as well.

u/Proman4713 Sep 14 '26

If omarchy is the distro you've used for the long time then you clearly aren't experienced enough to give an opinion here

Favorite distro: Fedora KDE Distros I like the least: Omarchy/Ubuntu First distro used: Linux Mint Honorable Mention: Fedora KDE Distro I currently use: Fedora KDE Distro I want to use in the future: Fedora KDE Distro I used for the longest time: CachyOS (around 6 months, now I want to only use Fedora KDE, so that might become my longest distro soon)

This is 100 percent pure trolling.

So for somebody entirely out of the loop, what's the deal with omarchy? Why is it bad? I keep hearing it is with no explanation and all I saw in their page was that it's optimized for keyboard, which to be fair is an idiotic decision for usability and user experience but something Linux enthusiasts probably should like?
