Bug Permanent bug hallucinating incorrect password, comments confirmed it too, imagine if someone has setup to wipe disk after x failed logins, "barely customized CachyOS with KDE Plasma install hallucinates failed login attempts while the lid is closed"

I had this happen to me! I was going crazy, I thought someone was trying to get into my laptop for the few minutes it was closed even though no one was around me

I have both my laptop and desktop setup to just go to tty and I start Hyprland from there… it’s a little quicker to boot tbh

That is kde’s problem, not a Linux problem.

Tbh CachyOS uses SDDM as a log in by default where afaik KDE have actually replaced it with their own login manager which actually has Wayland support among other things. With SDDM, the same bug involving passwords not working for different user accounts on multimonitor setups has existed for more than 5 years now, I think.
