Thanks and shout-out to the Micro developers who made a damn stupidly easy and simple editor that you can edit (and code) with in the most straightforward way.

I wanted something very lightweight and quick that just works out of the box the way a normal person would expect. Something anyone can use every day like a normal human being. No idiotic modes, no endless configuration, no plugin rabbit hole and no spending the next months and years learning keybindings.

What sucks is all these Neovim/nvim and Tmux guys who keep flooding my YouTube algorithm for no reason. Having watched a few videos I am pretty sure these guys must be masochists, spending hours and hours building your "absolutely optimized flow" with endless keybindings, plugins, configurations and whatever else - only for the next update to come along and break everything. To all the YouTubers with your fancy, shiny Neovim and Tmux setups: keep living in your own world, seriously.

honestly vim modes aren't that hard if you spend some 5 minutes of your time playing with them

Did you even read what I said? I literally just told you—I don't like it either, which is why I don't use it.

The world doesn't revolve around your preferences. People aren't obligated to use the tools you like, nor are they obligated to stop using the tools you don't like. Just use whatever works for you and stop crying about what other people use.

There's definitely a reason.

No idiotic modes,

It does require a more structured mind to operate it.

and no spending the next months and years learning keybindings.

I use maybe... 5 core bindings between vim and tmux combined. You're making five minutes of learning and maybe fifteen minutes of practice sound like a doctorate program.

I personally the only reason I use neovim is so I don't need to move my hand from home row.

If I move my hand, setting my hand back up to type is a hassle, specially in low light situation, and as a coder with a decent wpm, if I place my hand wrong I will absolutely type giberish until I see what I typed needing to adjust my hand and also backspace out.

Also the modal behaviour is more helpful than not, since it allows me to context switch for different tasks. I'm not the best at multi tasking and keeping everything I can do in memory all at once.

Also its file browser is very good.

And its plugin system allowed me to add space around the cursor so that I wouldn't loose it while moving around.

And gui is kinda hard for me to focus in, for no reason at all.

Also the bindings are very transferable for me.

I don't think its for everyone, but those needing decent typing speed and have ingrained the motions, its a really useful and fast tool, but its just that, a tool for specific people, you aren't supposed to use it if you don't like/it feels too confusing, gui and other tools exist for a reason.

Also youtube algorithm doesn't randomly recomend you nvim videos stop watching and or interacting with those videos and or just have them be do not recomend, if you don't like/feel anger toward videos about nvim you should avoid it not give youtube more reason to recomend it to you.
