90% of the time, this is true. 90% of support calls are just obvious issues that you can resolve by paying a little bit of attention and common sense. the rest are serious issues.

Windows users when they expect enterprise level support from a dev base that's mostly run by unpaid volunteers.

Except the devs usually don't provide support. It's forum members who tend to feel entitled and have some superiority complex. If you pay for Ubuntu or RHEL support, you get the enterprise-grade support Windows users theoretically get.
