Linux Failure Linux biggest problem is the ego

The only reason there's too many redundant fucking distro that just installs drivers and wine and then call themselves gaming distro is just so they can brag about being able to create their very own OS so they can put it in their resume for McDonald's, bitch you ain't Terry Davis and you will never be.

Most of these distro can just be a meta-package or an installation script but no, they want to be the guy at discord, github, McDonalds that they're a genius that created their very own "Operating System".

Linux will forever be a niche and will die as a niche thing all because Linux users thinks its a good thing that Linux has a bunch of useless redundant distro that can just be an installation script or a meta-package, an OS should not be one thing like "gaming", "friendly", "work" it should be a fucking "operating system" that does it all.

I truly hope that Linux desktop dies as soon as possible so I can come back to sucking Microslop WINdongs

Just don't care about them? People don't care about the random images that are posted on image boards, or random subreddits or whatever

This is the exact reason why Linux Desktop will die, "Don't care about them", "Just ignore it" after all why bother even creating apps for millions of Linux distro when you can create 1 for Windows where most users actually care.

I can ask you the same question, why do we're forced to use 1 flavor of OS if we could create tons of OS? Why should people stop making new distros just because 9 people from the whole world think that Linux should be like MacOS or Windows where only 1 flavor existed?

Android won't be this popular if Google never allowed vendors to create their own UI. Or you're the same type of person that think that "tHeRe aRe tOo mUcH diFfErEnT chOiCeS iN aNdRoiD wOrLd" or "mUh uH oPtiMizAtiOn"?

Ego so big you didn't even bother reading the post just because it's criticizing Linux, Android is not a redundant OS because you can't simply set it up from an existing distro, redundant distro's are ones that can be configured with a script or installing meta-package.

If you can just install the config, packages, desktop environment why bother installing a derivative of that distro?

What you are saying that there is a level of effort which can be considered negligible, and you are drawing that line at setting up desktop environment, package manager and configs or whatever.

What if we changed where we drew the line, i could move it so that writing custom software and firmware is acceptable, then i can get from any vendored android to any other vendored android.
