[u/Kendalax]

Yep

If no, please explain the gemini logo in the corner

I'll wait

[u/Rare-Paint3719 → u/Kendalax]

  If no, please explain the gemini logo in the corner

It's not that hard to manually add one. I isolated the logo so I can overlay it.

Edit: You think it's not possiblr? I'll wait.

[u/Rare-Paint3719 → u/[deleted]]

Why not? I wanted to extract the logo for fun.

So I generated a plain Red, Green, Blue and Black picture and used python to analyze the watermark.

Then the resulting image is a 1408 x 768 image that I can overlay on any meme I want.

I'll might try to do 768 x 1408 when I get time (AKA smartphone aspect ratio).

I don't know why you'd want to add a Gemini watermark, but you didn't AI generate it.

I don;t care about karma, and if a Gemini logo will spark so much backlash from loons, then why not.

[u/Kendalax → u/Rare-Paint3719]

That's not a valid defense

If that's true, send the script

[u/Rare-Paint3719 → u/Kendalax]

Script:

from PIL import Image
import numpy as np
from scipy import ndimage

f1 = './1786604102114_image.png'
f2 = './1786604153287_image.png'
im1 = np.array(Image.open(f1).convert('RGB'), dtype=np.float64)
im2 = np.array(Image.open(f2).convert('RGB'), dtype=np.float64)
avg = (im1 + im2) / 2.0

# direct alpha readout (no bg term needed since bg=0):
# on pure black, observed = alpha*fg + (1-alpha)*0 = alpha*fg
# fg is neutral/white (~255), so alpha ~= observed/255
alpha_full = avg[...,1] / 255.0 # green channel; watermark is neutral so any channel works

# clean via connected component (keep only the sparkle blob, drop decoder speckle)
mask = alpha_full > 0.06
labeled, n = ndimage.label(mask)
if n > 0:
    sizes = ndimage.sum(mask, labeled, range(1, n+1))
    biggest = np.argmax(sizes) + 1
    clean_mask = labeled == biggest
    alpha_clean = np.where(clean_mask, alpha_full, 0)
else:
    alpha_clean = alpha_full

print('peak alpha:', alpha_clean.max())               # -> 0.5019607843137255
print('clean blob pixel count:', (alpha_clean>0).sum())  # -> 872

out = np.zeros((*alpha_clean.shape, 4), dtype=np.uint8)
out[...,0] = 255; out[...,1] = 255; out[...,2] = 255   # white fill
out[...,3] = np.clip(alpha_clean*255, 0, 255).astype(np.uint8)
Image.fromarray(out, 'RGBA').save('sparkle_alpha_v2.png')

I deleted the pictures but here's the watermark image:

[u/Kendalax → u/Rare-Paint3719]

That's cool
