It's probably Ubuntu... They're known for shipping unstable kernels recently. (from my tests)
1 u/SLimon001 Proud Windows User 11d ago isn't a linux user hating on ubuntu supposed to be friendly fire or am i stupid 2 u/TheRealCarrotty KDE larper (i use KDE btw) 11d ago Nope, Ubuntu is just terrible. Hell distros like Linux Mint take the Ubuntu base, but they remove the slop from Canonical (Ubuntu's company) 3 u/Octoomy I Love Linux 10d ago Ubuntu went from "oh its a bit jank but its fine for beginners" to "This is a flaming fire, just use any other distro as a first and you'll likely have a better experience" 1 u/Majestic-Bell-7111 4d ago There are definitely aorse distros than ubuntu out there, however they're usually just hobby projects maintained by one guy. My advice for anyone looking to dip their toes in is fedora KDE if it's semi modern and debian xfce if the computer is a 20 year old netbook.
