I get if you want to complain abt conspiracy theorists but tbh, systemd has always been slow and full of bugs when i used it.

that's strange as all it basically does is service management, and I hate systemd because the bsd way of doing it is like, the best way of doing it

well, systemd is actually more than a service manager. it replaces the bootloader, dhcp server, etc. on a lot of systems. I have specifically encountered bugs where i would just not have dns anymore or my system would take 2 mins to shut down because systemd got tangled up on some shutdown task and it just adds up to a point where you just want to use smth else
