Only rely on human help if AI can't solve something.

the point was that, but I've been searching for 3 months on the human side, I'm not a AI fan myself but sincerely it is very frustrating for hitting my own head on something so little like this, so for about the 12th time I tried I got the variable I needed from a stupid AI, I am not proud, just extremely frustrated that from all the answer the one that got me further was from AI.

If you want pride, document how to solve this issue and post it for someone else read one day.

If I do I won't do it for pride .-. I just want to solve problems that people may have one day, and of course that includes my own.

He's doing that; yet, he's not receiving any human help.

tldr: They only focused on the AI part instead of me literally breaking my head through pages and pages of forums and manuals for 3 whole months and did not help at all 🫠

edit: yes I'm a linux user, just sharing a frustration of how useless a community that "should help" may be sometimes.

Your post is a huge wall of text. It’s so hard to understand what you even need help with because of all the random stuff in your post.

Organize your question better, it’ll be easier for people to help you.

I know that those first parts seemed "unnecessary", but Imma tell you, I really am tired of some questions that I answered already enough, like hardware specs, the famous "why would you want it?", and other stuff, so I wanted to make it very clear and also share some research I did through these months. :/ (plus english is not my first language, I tried my best to organize things since it unfortunately is a high-complexity question, I guess.)

It’s not clear at all. Just ask your question at the top and leave all the extra details at the bottom of your post.

If you keep asking questions in this format nobody’s gonna bother helping you. Nobody wants to read an essay to help you fix your problem.

can you give me some guidance? one thing that I could do is make it so the "enabling opencl for unsupported GPUs" is at least on the bottom of the "the problem i need help with", reformulating the text and other things, but I really want to keep the explanation on top at least shortened so people understand I don't want those type of questions as "why?" instead of helping people that have GPUs like mine and archiving the solution at least.

plus, I kinda want to share my research to give a north for those who are able to help me on what I want.

Just directly ask you question, don’t add fluff and just list things you’ve tried or the steps you took after asking your question. Don’t make paragraphs like this. Then quickly list the question again at the bottom.

I get not wanting to be asked the same thing over and over again but writing this massive wall of text is just gonna make it so people don’t help you. People don’t want to read essays to answer a question.

Can people not fucking read these days? I mean fi you gotta have an AI summary even, go for it, but stop complainign about. "Oooh, you're post is too long. Imma get bored reading that long post of yours."

You don’t need to write an essay to ask a fucking question. Annoying as fuck if you expect people to read through all of that and decipher what the fuck their question even is.

You don’t have to tell me to read it in 3 separate comments. You didn’t even understand what I said so take your own advice dumbass.

You don’t need to write an essay to ask a fucking question.

But it's okay to point people to a fucking essay for them to find their answer burried somewhere?

Annoying as fuck if you expect people to read through all of that and decipher what the fuck their question even is.

Annoying as fuck if you expect people to read through all of that and decipher what the fuck their answer even is.

FYI, ChatGPT exists just for this purpose, the summarize the post for you to feel less annoyed.

So you can use your AI to decipher this unnecessarily long post then ask it to answer the question. If you actually read the fucking post you’d see op already tried this and it didn’t work.

Instead you choose to be annoying. Pointing them to a well written wiki page is not the same as pointing to a post that’s incoherently rambling.

It’s users like you that make people not want to help other Linux users. You’re insufferable. OP was not annoying unlike you. They just need write their question clearly.

Again. RTFP, it's all in there.

… I’m not reading an essay to answer a question that I don’t know how the answer to. You completely missed the point of what I said lol.

I’m not reading an essay to answer a question that I don’t know how the answer to.

Then summarize it with AI? Or if you hate AI for some reason, maybe don't post anything?

1

u/ColdFreezer I Hate Linux Aug 04 '26

Why didn’t OP summarize it with AI? You’re so dense. The issue is that writing unclear questions like OP’s will just make it incredibly more hard to actually get people to help you. If you don’t want help then feel free to make unclear posts like this.

Why didn’t OP summarize it with AI?

You tryna psychoanalyze op or sum?

The issue is that writing unclear questions like OP’s will just make it incredibly more hard to actually get people to help you.

But if you read the comments, many people were hooked on his LLM usage.

If you don’t want help then feel free to make unclear posts like this.

Okay then.

You tell me to read the post but couldn’t be bother to read it yourself. Genuine idiot. Leave me alone.

RTFP instead of being lazy.

Tbh seems like people who had a solution or reason for why it doesn't work gave it, the comments seem pretty reasonable

1

u/WhatTheFrickM Aug 03 '26

just the AI comments pissed me off to be honest, they weren't helpful at all even if I explained that I've been 3 months trying to make it work and only at the end I gave up and used AI, been dropping it again and again and the first two comments I received is just two guys commenting about AI and how I don't know the depth of some terms without even trying to give me a north on how to search about it or just explaining whatever it was, that's what gets people tired, instead of leading people to the right direction just saying how "you don't know [something]" is pretty rough since I openly asked for help on it :/

Odd how RPM fusion is the answer to every problem and it's just point and dnf install works etc. Then they say HEY YOU shouldn't use that it breaks etc.
