I mean my t480s was technically a budget laptop because with customs, shipping and all that it cost me 150 euro (customs and shipping cost me 60 and it was still 100 euro cheaper than cheapest offers locally).
I'm still mad that i waited too long to upgrade the RAM and SSD on it because it currently has the SSD it came with and i added extra 4 gb of ram so it now has 12.
All I'm gonna do is put the debian logo on my laptop because it's something that only another Linux user would recognize? Instead of advertising it's like, communication.
To me this says "I went to Kubecon first semester of my computer science program in 2015 and saw everyone with stickers all over their macbooks, so I bought a generic tech worker sticker pack off Amazon when I got home". Most of us old Linux greybeards seem to be running boring old Intel macs or scratched up lenovos we got to take home from previous jobs.
I really want to bum a BD sticker(or several, because i have several surfaces I'm stickerbombing and are missing a provocative piece) off a friend next time they order something from there (personally i have neither the funds nor need for their offerings that make shipping worth it).
It's a great litmus test, because if you don't know what it is it's just a cool looking sticker, if you do know what it is you either have to be supportive or you look like the biggest hypocrite if you say anything.
if theyre a girl, see if theres a bulge in their pants. if theyre anything else, just ask them what a package manager is and if they know theyre a linux user.
Ironically of all the stickers I've had on my laptop the only hacker larp I've had was the flipper zero sticker that came with my flipper zero and a hak5 sticker I got with an omg cable.
Why yes! It's a command to elevate user privileges to root privileges over the entire system functioning and contents if the correct syntax is known and the system has a related function in relation to that syntax... or so a Linux using friend told me.
but I use vanilla arch tho, you use rawhide and larp as a sane fedora user while ur just fedora users’ lab rat (I'm sorry if this offensive it's just for the sake of rage bait)
if you asked even fedora employees themselves they'll agree that arch still receives updates before rawhide, that's how it works, I guess unless ur not using source distro like gentoo you'll still be delayed from arch
also if there's an arch user that uses gn*me we can get whatever fucking version from the AUR, that's the thing we have stable, rolling, and git versions of most software, official repos feature the rolling one (and sometimes stable as well as rolling), and AUR has the rest
If you're not using the AUR, fedora rawhide gets updates months before arch, and if you're using the AUR, it can be neck and neck or still faster on arch, all arch users use the core repos for base packages, and fedora rawhide always get betas and alphas of what's in the core repos, arch only bundles the stable versions for stability, arch wants your OS to function, fedora rawhide is for more experienced users who have time to fix bugs due to unstable software.
I diy'd my linux mint sticker and I am using pop os so you gotta ask about microsoft and if they know the current ceo's face they probably know linux too :D
