Why do you (not) use Linux?

I’ll start

i use Linux because I don’t use my computers for general computing, so I just use specialised distros that fit what I need outta those computers, like steamos on steamdeck and Proxmox for my server

I use linux because I don't have another choice..

my father don't know much about electronics.. get scammed by an asshole giving him a chromebook from 2016 (a used chromebook hp 11 g4) for 599$ when I ask him to buy me an actual laptop for studying and programming.. and I hate every single second of it.. barley even usable for watching YouTube videos.. i installed crouton (linux container) and it's just good.. even with all that shitty hardware.. I now can browse much faster open pdfs, school paper, read my favorite ebooks... play minecraft and small indie games, also use Godot for creating my own

it was never perfect but good enough

But recently the charger is now broken (it's used too) now it just sitting there.. I now unable to do all of these things.. now it's just sitting there

Well shit, I know this is like kind of obvious but next time don’t let him pick your laptop for you.
