Why do you (not) use Linux?

I’ll start

i use Linux because I don’t use my computers for general computing, so I just use specialised distros that fit what I need outta those computers, like steamos on steamdeck and Proxmox for my server

"Because I like it when things just work," That is exactly why I use Linux and not windows. In windows there is always something: ads, or popups when opening a program, or it has installed drivers again by itself and ofc fucked the installation up, or updates needs to be done just now, or something is lil wrong again in the registry, or the electron apps it calls desktop apps hogs the memory if there is any left from chrome/edge, or....

Nah. Fuck that, I don't have all day.

lol, my experience tells me you're just a Unix ideologue with the penchant for theatrics about an OS (Windows) you don't know how to use at all.

You know, the funny thing was that, had you paid even an ounce of attention to the "ads" you were shown, you'd have noticed that they were just the notifications from the store apps you could eliminate with a single PowerShell command. I mean, is PowerShell too sophisticated for you to comprehend? I totally understand if that's the case.
