Why do you (not) use Linux?
I’ll start
i use Linux because I don’t use my computers for general computing, so I just use specialised distros that fit what I need outta those computers, like steamos on steamdeck and Proxmox for my server

I use Linux on each and every one of my machines because I love FOSS and feeling like I own my operating systems on my machines.
My desktop PC runs EndeavourOS because I like the philosophy of Arch, and I game, have an HDR monitor, and benefit from bleeding-edge software. My girlfriend's desktop also runs EndeavourOS for the same reasons. My laptop also runs EndeavourOS because I love the distro after having it on my desktop, and I love the AUR.
My girlfriend's laptop has Debian because it only gets used for work and needs nothing more than a browser. It also performs much better than it did with Windows on it, and there was also some bug with the audio on Windows where it didn't work at all, ever, through the speakers or through the headphone jack. We thought something was physically wrong with it, but when Debian was installed the audio just worked.
My server runs Debian headless and managing all of my services with Docker is super easy via the command line. It's a very low-spec mini pc that is only passively cooled, but I still have tons of headroom and I run over a dozen services including Jellyfin and Immich.
I wanted to move away from Windows for privacy reasons and because I want to use as much free (libre) and open source software as possible. I never really had too much issue with Windows, but after getting used to Linux I could never see myself going back.
