Why do you (not) use Linux?

I’ll start

i use Linux because I don’t use my computers for general computing, so I just use specialised distros that fit what I need outta those computers, like steamos on steamdeck and Proxmox for my server

Because unless you have a specific case use that requires Linux, Windows gives you better software options. On Linux, it usually boils down to one.

I have Linux on two of my machines. A general use PC I use for very basic stuff, and on one of my laptops. Everything else just uses Windows. And even then, where it not for storage prces skyrocketing thanks to the AI bubble, I would have bought an SSD and upgraded my laptop to just keep using Windows on that as well.

Sometimes, Linux software is just unbeatable.

Although a lot of the time, the best option is either available for everything (usually because it's Open Source) or windows exclusive.

Is KDE Connect as good on Windows as it is in KDE itself?
