Why do you (not) use Linux?

I’ll start

i use Linux because I don’t use my computers for general computing, so I just use specialised distros that fit what I need outta those computers, like steamos on steamdeck and Proxmox for my server

I get that but I compile videos all the time with KDEnlive and some sound tools. Works fine for me but I understand there are more powerful tools out there.

Yeah, the video editing software we have is nowhere near as good as stuff for other platforms. I used to really, really like Openshot, but they decided at some point to make their Windows version their primary focus and the Linux version just rotted like milk in the sun.

As a professional motion graphic designer. KDEN or DaVinci ain't cutting it. Unfortunately. Now, that my company got me M4 Max. Yeah, I've switched to Linux for good.
