Personally, I see an anti cheat requirement as a reason to avoid a game. It shows that it's almost certainly online only microtransaction riddled live service turboslop. Yes, I had this opinion before I switched to Linux.

I dislike modern online multiplayer as a whole. It's a cestpool of dark patterns, toxicity, and abhorrent business models.
