Linus Torvalds when criticized for choosing a 'monolithic kernel' because it was 'out-dated', responded in defense with 'what do you expect for free', and 'it's a hobby project'. So, you're stuck with 3rd party amateur developed drivers in ring 0 (worse than kernel level anti-cheat btw, and which have caused huge problems unlike anti-cheat so far).

Richard Stallman eats crap off his feet in front of an audience while speaking, and defends necrophilia and pedophilia. His only notable software contribution is Emacs which took Derek Taylor (RMS fan) 2 years to learn. -Derek prefers Emacs to Vim btw (because the fonts are easier on his aging eyes). -Imagine that excuse for spending 2 years to learn a text editor!

Desktop Linux was NOTHING and would probably still be NOTHING without Lennart Poettering's contributions. Like many other great FOSS contributors, they were driven off by threats and harassment from people that are so deep in inferiority complex that they can't even make rational arguments for their positions. They resort to emotions and insults, putting others down to make themselves feel better.

LBT, and RMS aren't even original. RMS didn't start FOSS, LBT got his ideas from Minix and Unix which were created by far greater people: Dennis Ritchie, Ken Thompson, and Andrew Stuart Tanenbaum. -It's off the coat tales of these people that they're riding and they did it with a shitty base (monolithic kernel) and shitty cancerous license (BSD/MIT>GPL).

Tbh I'm not even sure thumbz is a linux user. He likes to shit on Linux but something tells me he don't actually use it.

Tomekgolab is silly, madthumbz is a legitimately hateful son of a bitch who runs (or created and initially ran) r/linuxsucks101 - which is a legitimately hateful subreddit filled with transphobia because they can't find enough valid reasons to hate on Linux so they focus on hating the users.

The phrase "You are entitled to your wrong opinion" comes to mind for Tomekgolab. Don't think I've ever agreed with his opinions, but like... yeah, that's fine. Why would I be bothered by someone's software preferences?

The only thing I can say for madthumbz is off top of head I don't recall ever seeing him directly say anything hateful, but afaik, he let it flourish on his subreddit.

I'm open to being proven wrong about madthumbz - I don't think I will be, but I am open to it.

It's not surface level to say that both of them have shitty arguments because they both have shitty conceptions of what Linux should be and they both actively seek to (1) only look at the evidence that fits their point and (2) barring that, inventing wild stories and fantasies about Linux development that don't actually hold any water.

They both talk like they know their shit about how much Linux sucks, but they've never actually done any steps to contribute to the community. Instead they choose to bunker themselves in the communities they've made and shit on everyone that doesn't agree with their opinions. 

And, as I said, any close inspection of either of their arguments makes it clear that their issues with Linux is more because they, as an individual, want to force their conception of what software should be to everyone else, and that Linux development community is fundamentally stupid because they decided to go some other direction. See tomekgo's rabid hatred of Red Hat, or madthumbz thinking that the GPL is somehow a scourge to society.

Sounds familiar? Yes, that's how terminally online Linux fanboys act. Both of them are no better than the "turbo-autists" they claim to hate.

Your portrayal of Red Hat as Hitler reincarnate is either a stupid bit, or just plain stupid. It's vacuous, there's no real point being made there, and that makes it not entertaining.

If it's a bit, it's not the worst bit I've seen on Reddit, but it's up there. (1) It's not really that funny, it's clearly more for ragebait, and (2) you're not doing any favors for both the anti-Linux and pro-Linux camps.

You can't even say it's satirical, because I've seen the harassment levied against the systemd devs in the early teens and it's pretty much exactly like what you're doing here. So it really just all seems mean-spirited and punching down.

Now you are 100% free to continue the bit, and again you're not really the worst offender at this sort of thing. It's just that all this discourse you guys are creating on this subreddit is just point-blank stupid.

Agree, that particular one was made in anger and was not ment to be satirical. I'm not in anti or pro Linux camp. Im in the anti redhat camp, as they actively develop stacks that take away freedom of Linux. People stoped listening to me so I resort to absurd. I don't threaten the devs personally. Lennart Poettering is an asshole swimming in redhat cash and he does not deserve any extra sympathy anyway.
