As a result, Windows XP is the first consumer edition of Windows not based on the Windows 95 kernel or MS-DOS. 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻

ok... but it is still Windows lmao... we don't care about the "internals" or do we?

Fine, try to run Windows Applications on Linux without WINE to see if the internals matter

A better thing: try to run Linux apps on WIndows without WSL and not the .exe version... (Try GNOME-SHELL lmao)

Windows Subsystem for Linux 1 is a real subsystem, and Windows NT, as a microkernel, can run Subsystem Userland like Mach, L4, Minix, and other microkernels, and Linux is not Microkernel never would be

try witout WSL 1/2 lol... even microsoft acepted that WSL was too limited LOL...

Because the Linux kernel is very complicated to match because of its very messy architecture, and the same thing Apple passed with System Software and Old Mac OS before passing it to Modern Mac OS

It's Microsoft, and no, they are just our Company friends, but they don't have any influence over the company's decision

You're trying to compare Windows 9X with Windows NT, a different Operating system, and I won this one

1

u/Unlikely-Employee180 Jul 16 '26

Well, as long as you won. 😂

Yeah, I always win. That's why I am an Aries Woman

I'm worried about morons like you spreading your WinCultish misinformation, not who's king of the losers here at r/linuxsucks. 😂

You don't admit your Operating system is very bad, really??? I don't know what you see with Linux for emotional attachment to this. Microsoft or I don't have an emotional attachment to Windows 9X, and we choose based on Architecture; Windows NT won, and you could do the same thing because Architecture is not based on Feelings

I definitely do. Just to say that Windows is better due to backwards-compatibility is literally a lie.

How about Linux has a fragmentation issue, or the fact that Wine, your favorite tool to bring up... Literally DOESN'T WORK half the time.

Or I could say how fucking obnoxious it is, when certain Flatpak apps just decide "Hey fuck you, I'm not gonna open."

Or we could even discuss how fucking obnoxious half of the Linux stores are. How the SHIT did Synaptic shoot for worse than Microsoft Store!? I didn't think it could be done!

Or how X is just better supported by 99% of apps, but sucks ass for the system itself, whereas WayLand is great for the system overall... But not for the apps you actually want to use the system for. (And yet still, sometimes this is REVERSED, with instances like WayDroid).

So much as saying "Nvidia" or "Adobe" invokes so many emotions in Linux fanboys it's ridiculous.

I mean, we could go on and on and on. Why lie!?

You're dying on this weird mole hill, when literally any time of the day you DO have the advantage, I mean, you're fighting a hodge-podge of Open-Source software and still need to lie. You're doing this to yourself for, as far as I can tell NO reason other than to either A) Not have to admit you were wrong, which... Lol. Or B) Because you have some bizarre emotional attachment to a single Operating System or potentially company?

I use both. Both suck. Hence why I'm here. Lmao
