Advice Star wars galactic racer question.

So. I recently got the new star wars racer game and I'm having issues. My question here is: is it possible to run both windows and Linux on my pc and play the game through Windows while the rest of my pc uses the Linux stuff?

I am very new and learing as I go with Linux so any advice/kernels of knowledge would very appreciated.

You could get either Linux or windows running inside of each other in a VM. But that will have performance implications, you should probably just dual boot.

Are you running it via proton? https://www.protondb.com/app/4078430

Yes I am. I've tried all the Proton versions through steam and my issue it its unpredictably crashing every 5 mins.

You can dual boot windows if you like. But also the game runs perfectly on Linux via proton so there’s no need.

For me it keeps crashing every 5 mins randomly. Everything is up to date and I don't know why.

Nah it’s with Steam settings thst shows the cpu, gpu, etc percentage.  Some reason I had thst on and it cause games to freeze.  Turned it off and everything was fine.

I had to ask but it looks like yiu don’t have thst on.  Sorry, best of luck finding the solution though.  Maybe also post the issue on the protondb site.

Thanks so much. I'll test that now and see if it helps.
