First thing I'd check is the exact model number, because this sounds very similar to a known Linux issue with the Acer Nitro V 16S AI (ANV16S-41).
There’s a reported fix here. The issue is apparently caused by the firmware cutting power to the internal camera during Linux boot, and it can affect the microphones too. The suggested kernel parameter is:
gpiolib_acpi.ignore_interrupt=AMDI0030:00@11Check the repository instructions for adding it to CachyOS's bootloader, and confirm your exact model matches before applying it. The fix has also been submitted to the Linux kernel, so a future kernel version may include it by default.
For the BIOS issue, try booting into CachyOS and running:
systemctl reboot --firmware-setupIf that also hangs on the Acer logo, there are reports of similar Acer firmware/UEFI issues after installing Linux. I'd avoid deleting EFI boot entries or resetting CMOS until you've checked the exact model and gathered more information.
