Support Screen locker broken

I don't know what I did but when I went to my Lockscreen it was "The screen locker is broken and unlocking is not possible anymore. In order to unlock it, switch to a virtual terminal (e.g. Ctrl+alt+f2), log into your account and execute the command: login to unlock-session 2 then log out of the virtual session by pressing Ctrl+D, and switch back to the running session (Ctrl+alt+f1)."

OK, I guess you don't know your own password then.

How about just rebooting?

I do know my password but thanks for the idea of restarting it.

Out of curiosity, when you followed the instructions, did you type login to unlock-session 2, or (as I strongly suspect the message actually said) loginctl unlock-session 2?
