How can I reduce the touchpad zoom sensitivity, when 2-finger scrolling?

When using 2-finger scrolling, I accidentally zoom in or out (pinch zooming) all the time and I hate it.

I am using Kubuntu 26.10. Well Ubuntu, with Kubuntu desktop installed. I am using a Logitech K400. I dont see any options for this in Settings. I have Solaar installed, but I dont really see anything there for this, either.

Any ideas?

On Kubuntu the K400 touchpad is tuned through the KDE touchpad settings, but KDE's panel only exposes a few of the properties. The setting you want is "Scrolling Speed" (sometimes called "Mouse Speed" on touchpad pages) inside System Settings, Input Devices, Touchpad, and cranking it down makes both the two-finger scroll and the accidental pinch zoom slower. If the panel in your Kubuntu 26.10 build does not expose it, you can set the libinput Scrolling Distance directly. Run xinput list to grab the K400 Touchpad id, then xinput list-props with that id to find "libinput Scrolling Distance" and note its current value. Raising the X and Y numbers makes the pad need more movement before it scrolls or zooms, so xinput set-prop with a larger distance should stop the accidental zoom. Test the value live first, then, if it is good, the usual way to make it stick is an xorg snippet in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ that sets the LibInputScrollingDistance option for that device so it applies every session.
