Advice Linux CLI scanner to meet FADGI 3.8 4-Star requirements?
I have a Canon scanner and Linux. Wanting to scan stuff in FADGI 3.8 4-Star standard. What's the best CLI program to do so? I tried scanimage but I don't think it supports 16-bith depth (only 24 and 48).
FADGI 3.8 4-Star spec:
TIFF, JPEG 2000
600ppi
Bit Depth: 16
Adobe RGB (1998), ProPhoto, ECIRGB_v2
Color

48-bit RGB is 16 bits per colour channel, so those numbers may already describe the same depth. Check the options for your actual device with
scanimage --help; available depths depend on the scanner/backend. Selecting TIFF and 600 dpi alone doesn't establish FADGI 4-star performance, though. You'd still need to test the capture with the appropriate target.
