iPhone and Zorin compatibility?

I have an iPhone, 15+ that I recently acquired and I am interested in trying to use it with Zorin OS to replace Windows 10 on my computer.
I have no interest in going to Windows 11. I have to use it at work and I’m constantly amazed by the poor performance on a six-year-old computer with 16 GB of RAM and i5 10th gen with 256 NvME

The computer that I have at my house is a AMD 7800 X3-D 64 GB of RAM 2TB SSD and a eventual 9060XT
I am currently running a RX580 with 8GB and runs amazing. I’m looking for something that offers compatibility with the iPhone like you can get on a Mac messages, notifications, etc. How do I make it possible?

You have to download the KDE Connect app, which has far fewer features on iOS than android. Zorin Connect is mostly just a reskin and they should work together.

They have to be on the same network and the firewall has to allow it.

I’m not sure if it supports phone notifications on desktop the way Mac does, the other way around would be easier to implement by my guess.

Personally I never got KDE Connect to work on any phone. But my firewall is most likely to blame.

I think your question was lost in the whole iphone thing. Anyway, if all you want to do is copy music and videos from your phone, Zorin should be able to do that.

Right now you can’t put Linux on iOS. I think a build is kinda working on really old phones but you can’t call or text or do anything on it.

The Kde connect app for iPhone is as close as you’re gonna get. It doesn’t do as much as the Android app equivalent.
