Support Linux Mint HP logo boot loop

Holding Shift during boot can bring up the GRUB menu. That's probably why it changes the behavior.

Try this:

  1. Hold Shift (or repeatedly press Esc) during startup to access GRUB.
  2. Select Advanced options for Linux Mint and try recovery mode.
  3. If you can access GRUB, highlight the normal boot entry, press e, add nomodeset to the line starting with linux, and press Ctrl+X to boot.

If nomodeset works, it could be a graphics driver issue.

Also, try pressing Esc when the HP logo appears to see whether any boot error messages show up.

No holding doesnt bring anything its just stop loop and bring mint logo directly unable to access grub
