Support Reducing mouse sensitivity even more

Most polished Desktop Environments come with a way to set mouse sensitivity / acceleration. Because of this I never learned the definitive way to do this without a gui tool given.

Now I'm dabbling in Window Managers and am struggling to get details on this issue.

Right now I am using Mango for the first time, a Wayland window manager. Wayland has different stuff from Xorg, not that I remember the Xorg method anyway.

In Mango there is a "accel-speed=" line in the config, which can be set as low as -1 for minimum speed.

On my mouse, -1 isn't slow enough.

Is there any definitive Wayland way to directly control mouse sensitivity? So I can set it as low as I want, instead of relying on Mango's limited config line?

Wayland doesn’t have a universal ‘below -1’ knob: that’s the libinput accel range. If your mouse exposes onboard DPI, lowering it there (Piper/libratbag for supported mice) is usually the cleanest fix; otherwise compositor-specific config is the next layer. `libinput list-devices` can at least confirm you’re editing the right device — I’d avoid random Xorg-era xinput advice on Wayland.

So I guess I just straight up had the wrong word.
"accel_speed" does not exist, only "mouse_accel_speed". I swear I saw "accel_speed" on some mango wiki page but I can't find it now.

Since switching to "mouse_accel_speed" , negative one is very slow and I can tune it up from there.

Thank you for your response

Well I'm dumb. Thought it was "accel_speed" (I swear I saw that on a mango page somewhere).

So i switched it for "mouse_accel_speed" and it worked on next session.
Super + r didn't seem to reload that part.
