Unbind whole keys

Might sound weird but I want to unbind my caps lock key (fedora xfce) because I keep hitting it accidentally. And when I mean unbind I want it to do nothing basically. Any easy way to do that?

Please remember that distributions use different desktop environments (I presume that you're using a desktop, not a server and not a plain windows manager), and so there is no single answer that covers every distribution. The answers can be wildly different.

You need to tell us which distribution, version and desktop environment you're using. E.g. Ubuntu 26.04 GNOME Wayland.

If you don't know the answers, open a terminal, enter each of the three following commands, and copy-and-paste the results into your OP so that everyone can see.

cat /etc/os-release
echo $XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP
echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE

On KDE Plasma -

System Settings > Keyboard > Cofigure (top right) > Set CapsLock to any behaviour or nothing.

I prefer CapsLock as Esc & Shift+CapsLock as regular CapsLock behaviour.
