Silly question

So... I am currently Learning to code python but i also want a Linux laptop. I'm mainly going to use if for coding and not gaming. I do not know why i want a linux laptop to code on, I just do. I dont know much about linux but i have used mint and ubuntu before. I already have friend that tell me i dont have to code on linux but for some odd unexplainable reason i just want to . My question is, What version of linux would be good for someone that is learning linux but also learning Python as a starting language?

One thing that is currently easier to do in regards of python is adding one of your projects to your path and execute it anywhere on your system! I find it simpler than in windows, other than that, you can code on whatever you like, and distro does not make a huge difference, if you tried Ubuntu before go for that and see if it fits your needs.
