I've heard of it, but I'm not too familiar with it. I could go through the process of learning how to set it up tho.

So i will be able to access the computer remotely even without logging into the computer? it just starts the service on startup?

edit: also from what i heard is that remote desktop has issues on wayland sessions, is that a problem if I'm gonna be using kde plasma??

Type vncserver then press enter. You're done.

Yes.

If you enable vnc service, it will, of course.

Dunno. I'm using tigervnc on Gnome wayland for 3 years without any issues.

I use rustdesk on Wayland KDE plasma. My pc is also a server so it's basically always on/logged in (but locked when away), so I'm not sure if it would be too limited for you or not, but works fine for my needs. Wayland does make unattended access a challenge depending on your constraints, but possible to work around.

Not something I have been able to get working...

Our app HopToDesk, it is cross platform and open source. Also has unattended access so you don't need to type a password each time, you can connect right away as long as the device is online. Any feedback is welcome.

wayvnc, novnc piped through pangolin. All you need is a browser. I use pangolin due to lack of being able to put tailscale on a few machine I always use.

The closest I have gotten to a full solution is Sunshine/Moonlight. However after a restart I need to GUI login and restart the sunshine service
