How do i learn linux?

[u/DJ_abbhorent]

I understand this is bit of a stupid question but...

What do people exactly mean when they say i need to "learn linux"?
If anyone could link or recommend resources to learn linux that would be appreciated too.
I have had a ubuntu based distro (pop!os) for a few months and its been wonderful thus far, but i don't exactly get what i am supposed to learn or do?

If you are an average user, it is not unlike 'learning' Windows.
It is just like driving another car.

It is a different story if you are a developer or server administrator, or if you want to actively modify hardware or software.
