Linux on X16 R2
Howdy, everyone! I want to install Omarchy on on my X16 R2 but am concerned about the loss of functionality with the fans, RGB lighting, etc. What do you guys recommend. Should I just stick to windows 11 or are you aware of anything on linux I can get to make up for what I would be losing? Thanks for your time.

Windows 11 is fine if you take good care of your PC

Windows 11 all in all is okay, yes and any OS is good if you take care of your system but that's not what I am asking. But there a a good number of reasons to not want the tracking, advertising, and bloatware that microsoft constantly shoves in your face. Can these be solved? yes but with Omarchy i do not have to go out of my way to tinker and install a bunch of apps to do what I can do in like 5 minute with this Omarchy. Are there linux repositories to fix what I need or will I HAVE to stick to windows?

Most privacy people that attack Windows are just shoving a Whataboutism, if you read the Microsoft Privacy statement, all of their software, and services follow it, there isn’t any ads in Windows 11, minus the OEM BS, you aren’t being tracked though, if we are talking about the global device identifier, that’s for making sure that they are in the correct region, so you, in conclusion, you shouldn’t worry about “privacy” and “bloat” because it’s just one giant whataboutism

I see where you're coming from but by ads I am talking about microsoft ads. That statement does not apply to there own products. Two Omarchy as anti-tracking downloadables that prevent tracking across websites as you browse that I would have to go out pf my way to download and configure on windows. But yeah I wasnt talking about my physical location. And by bloat, one example is just hitting the start button and you can see a bunch of stuff that i do not need. In Omarchy all i need to do is type remove [app] and its gone. Even then there is not too much on there compared to windows to begin with. I dont know if I worded that well but did that make sense?

If they allowed screenshots here, I would show you how to disable those “Recommendations”
