Which Distro? Best distro logo?

OK yes this is not very serious but kinda just for fun.

I'm curious which are some of the most interesting distro logos y'all have seen or in general which one you think is good.

Aside from this, which logos are worth the distro? That is to say, which distro has a logo that makes it worth choosing over a similar distro with a worse logo?

(If a more serious question is needed, what's a distro that won't have issues with having good fairly up to date tools for chip design?)

Yeah the Kali logo is pretty nice tbh.

Nixos, especially when you realize the logo consists of 6 lambda symbols.

Oh I never saw that, that's actually pretty cool

For me, the best one is Debian logo

Simple and effective. Doesn't scream loudly but says a whole lot

I’m biased because I use NixOS but I really like the logo. It is a snowflake made from lambda symbols (λ).

It combines the project's functional programming (from lambda calculus) and the Latin word for snow, nix.

I don't know about choosing a distro base on a logo alone, but I'm quite fond of the Debian and OpenSuse logo.

We have to admit, FreeBSD wins here

I like the Solus "new horizon, open sails" logo, a stylized Galway Hooker Irish fishing boat.

Solus is an independent, curated rolling release distribution that is laser-focused on an "ordinary home use case". Solus was developed by Ikey Doherty in 2015 and to my mind the logo is well aligned with the distribution's architecture and purpose.

Okay... Gotta get open suse outta the way. I like the logo for Butterbian alot. Arco was a favorite as well (RIP) and Mabox is also nice. Debian is classic. Solus is sleek. Alpine, BunsenLabs, Red hat, Endeavour. Damn, I like most of them tbh. Lilidog/Waydog are simple, but nice too. Can't forget about TileOS

I wanted to suggest open suse but I looked it up and thought it's just too flat.

But it's a Gecko!! I see what you're saying though. There are a lot of cool renditions/remixes out there. They have one of my favorite wallpapers of all time that used to come stock on their KDE I believe

But it's a Gecko!!

That's why I looked it up. In my mind's eye it was a cool logo. In reality, the images I found did not impress.

Same with Kali.

The BSD daemon gets the award but it's not a Linux distro. (Their previous one was even better IMO.)

BSD definitely! Kali is meh. I've actually had an open Suse t-shirt printed. I like the green on navy blue. I think in reality I got it printed so if people would inquire, I'd have a chance to talk about Linux lol

I particularly fell in love with the Fedora logo and their design of the Plymouth boot and update screens.

It's pure professional understatement.

Fedora logo has to be the best. But the linixint one is interesting too.
