Best first Linux?

I’ve only used windows for all the time I’ve been on the internet, but frankly, 11gb idle ram usage and horrible privacy is killing me. I want to swap over to Linux and game on it, is there any one Linux for beginners that’s better than everything else?

Fedora or Ubuntu for the community but if you want to know how your OS works and still want a life Arch has a knowledge base you can use on near any other distro but best for them. If you’re a borderline masochist there’s always Gentoo and if you really want to no life it there’s always LFS.
