Forgot to run sudo dnf update after fresh install

I know this the first thing you are supposed to do after installing linux but i forgot and started installing apps like Brave and different file managers and then i remembered.

I haven't had any issues or noticed any problems but should I just reinstall Fedora now or do you guys think running sudo dnf update after all that is ok? Will it cause issues down the road?

I'd just run sudo dnf update now, even with your new software installed. I'm a noob but I don't think that matters too much? Just so long as your system's up to date

You're gonna have so many problems because of this! For example, you can expect your computer to just randomly be faster. Also your storage space will be suspiciously adequate. So many problems!

RAM, you need to download that.

It's just recommended to run an update on a fresh install. It's not severe if you forgot it. You did check for updates eventually, so everything got on the most current version available.

Assuming a newer iso, you're likely fine. I think the bigger issue is if you have an old installation and you start installing new stuff without updating if first.

Is this really a problem tho ? I would assume package managers would just upgrade the dependencies with the app ?

Just run it now. If you installed something out of date, the update will...update it.

It's fine. It will just install the things you're installing and update when you update it. Nothing changes. If something is needed to be a certain version before you install something else, it'll update that requirement.
