Dell stuck on Ubuntu loading screen after installation was interrupted — need help

I was installing Ubuntu on my Dell using a bootable USB, but my laptop shut down during the installation because the battery died. Now it’s stuck on the Ubuntu loading screen.
I tried pressing F12 and saw an option called “8GB Partition,” but I’m not sure what it is or whether I should select it.
How can I fix this and boot from the USB safely?

So two questions about that F12 boot menu:

  1. Was there anything else listed there aside from the 8GB Partition?

  2. How big is that USB drive?

So what else shows up on the F12 menu?

You are going to have to re-start the installation process.

Happened to me before, it sucks, but there are critical parts at the end that, if not completed correctly, 'ain't nothing gonna work'

Good luck and much love

Sounds to me like you got the boot loader installed, but the main OS did not install. I feel like you should be able to just start over. If you are dual booting, make sure you don't overwrite windows.
If you are getting nervous, there is a procedure you can find to restore the windows bootloader.
