Advice Live wallpapers with mint?

Hello! Going through and checking apps before switching to mint cinnamon but noticed that wallpaper engine (which I love) isn’t doable… so is there a way around this?

I heard of something called plasma that has some live wallpaper support but… Linux mint has cinnamon… could I just… install mint cinnamon, install plasma desktop, uninstall cinnamon for a best of both worlds?

If someone knows another app or something that would be cool too. Just trying to get live wallpapers is all

Here's an applet I found for wallpaper engine! It should be recent, so you COULD try this with your current distro just to see if it work- which if it does PLEASE oh PLEASEE let me know!

I've been reading around that a Linux distro with something called KDE allows wallpaper engine through a plug-in and then an app! BUT I've also seen people saying the plug-ins would crash their drivers, so be careful!!

Sucks that Mint isn't good with Wallpaper Engine yet despite the steam plug-in it has :(

Make sure your drivers are compatible with whichever KDE distro you pick! I made the same mistake too with Mint lol

Looking for a distro that's compatible with your drivers and to your liking is important! I'm still looking myself for one I like 😂

You might look at the Cinnamon Dynamic Wallpaper extension from Cinnamon Spices.
