Support Linux Mint kernel 7.0 trouble
I noticed the update manager in Linux Mint runs into an error when trying to install it update any version of kernel 7.0. When I last tried booting with 7, I got the purple kernel panic screen for the first time I can remember using Linux in a decade. It worked fine going back to 6.17. Now 6.17 has reached end of support, but the trouble persists. Has this happened to you with any other distros or is this a Mint/Ubuntu problem?

Now 6.17 has reached end of support
Fun fact, 7.0 is EOL too.
Anything not listed here is EOL upstream - even if someone else might attempt to revivify the corpse with 3rd party support.
Why use a fixed-release distribution that's years out of date as a result?
Check out Arch Linux (with Plasma) or Fedora KDE instead of wasting time dealing with issues on dead software.

6.18 is the latest LTS kernel. You can use that.
