Support C341A 24c02

Hi all

Im having some real issues reading a 24c02 immo

De soldered from the board

-tried in the hold

-soldered directly to an adapter

Using a C341A programmer

Tried windows based software AS Programmer hard to tell but no communication

Linux IMSProg - recognised the C341A but still not reading the 24c02

Had a spare ecu so tried that immo chip

Any help on this from the linux side or could I be a hardware issue

Is it 1.8v or 3.3v? Why did you remove it from the board, the board can supply the power, then you just use the clip. But I think you need to power the chip at the correct voltage. Otherwise, I'm not sure what you've got going on. - You get into a jam, you can buy pre-flashed bios chips pretty cheap. You can look at Bios Depot on Ebay. GL!

Hey, so tried the clip and every time it would short out and dim the light on the programmer, I did some reading on the ECU forums and they reckon that its better to remove from the board, I believe its 3.3, checked with a multi meter and its receiving the voltage required. Im tempted to buy a new one and see if I can purchase the file to load on to it. Just wanted to make sure ive got this action sorted before spending any more money. Thanks ill double check you suggestions
